Around 39,950 sheep and lambs were yarded at Dubbo, with good supplies of prime old lambs and young lambs throughout. The market remained strong.
- Trade weight 3 score young lambs to slaughter were 17¢ dearer on 616¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 3 score young lambs to slaughter eased 1¢ to average 609¢/kg cwt
- Light weight 2 score Merino old lambs were 10¢ higher on 527¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight 3 score Merino old lambs gained 37¢ to 544¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 4 score old lambs to slaughter lifted 1¢ to settle on 592¢/kg cwt
- Medium weight 3 score Merino ewes lifted 39¢ to average 406¢, however 4 score lines eased 14¢ to 391¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 4 score Merino ewes increased 20¢ to 411¢/kg cwt
Sheep and lamb numbers lifted at Bendigo, with 24,532 head supplied. This rise is attributed to a surge in young lamb numbers with more than 10,000 head yarded.
- Light weight 2 score first cross young lambs were 44¢ higher on 570¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight 3 sore first cross young lambs lifted 5¢ to average 593¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 3 score young lambs to slaughter eased 33¢ to settle on 603¢/kg cwt
- Light weight 1 score Merino ewes lifted 2¢ to 372¢/kg cwt
- Medium weight 2 score Merino ewes eased 3¢ to 367¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 3 score first cross ewes slipped 13¢ to 337¢/kg cwt
At the conclusion of Monday's markets:
- The eastern states restocker lamb indicator lifted 5¢ to 584¢/kg cwt
- Merino lambs were 23¢ higher on 546¢/kg cwt
- Light lambs gained 4¢ to 547¢/kg cwt
- The Eastern States Trade Lamb Indicator (ESTLI) increased 2¢ to 601¢/kg cwt
- The heavy lamb indicator eased 1¢ to 601¢/kg cwt
- The mutton indicator lifted 4¢ to settle on 387¢/kg cwt
