Tuesday daily sheep summary

Rain over the weekend saw lamb and sheep supply decline on the expected draw at Dubbo, to total 19,110 head.
- Light weight 2 score young lambs to restockers averaged 558¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight 3 score young lambs to slaughter gained 20¢ to average 555¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight 3 score old Merino lambs lifted 43¢ to settle on 495¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 4 score old lambs to slaughter increased 33¢ to average 562¢/kg cwt
- Medium weight 4 score Merino ewes lifted 23¢ to 393¢, while heavier weights gained 21¢ to average 412¢/kg cwt
- Medium weight 3 score Merino wethers were 29¢ dearer on 413¢/kg cwt
Consignments eased at Bendigo with a total of 21,101 head of sheep and lambs yarded. The yarding was mostly plainer with limited supplies of better quality slaughter lambs.
- Light weight 2 score young lambs to restockers were 34¢ cheaper on 492¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight 2 score young lambs to restockers eased 21¢ to average 461¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 3 score young lambs to slaughter decreased 24¢ to 469¢/kg cwt
- Medium weight 2 score Merino ewes slipped 8¢ to 310¢, while medium weight 2 score Merino wethers were 11¢ cheaper on 308¢/kg cwt
At the conclusion of Monday’s markets:
- The eastern states restocker lamb indicator was 2¢ lower on 536¢/kg cwt
- Merino lambs eased 13¢ to 430¢, while light lambs were 1¢ higher on 483¢/kg cwt
- The Eastern States Trade Lamb Indicator (ESTLI) slipped 1¢ to 501¢/kg cwt
- The heavy lamb indicator was also 1¢ lower on 498¢/kg cwt
- The mutton indicator lost 2¢ to settle on 325¢/kg cwt
