Lamb and sheep numbers lifted at CTLX, with a total of 9,700 head offered.

• Light weight 2 score lambs to slaughter were 46¢ cheaper on 423¢, while Merino lines were 51¢ dearer on 470¢/kg cwt
• Trade weight 3 score lambs to slaughter were 22¢ cheaper on 548¢/kg cwt
• Heavy weight 4 score lambs to slaughter lost 9¢ to average 563¢/kg cwt
• Heavy weight 4 score first cross ewes decreased 36¢ to average 322¢/kg cwt.

Lamb and sheep supply increased at Hamilton with a total of 4,276 head. There was more competition, which helped to create a dearer market overall.

• Light weight 2 score lambs to slaughter averaged 592¢/kg cwt
• Trade weight 3 score lambs to slaughter were 49¢ higher on 618¢/kg cwt
• Heavy weight 3 score lambs to slaughter lifted 10¢ to average 586¢/kg cwt
• Light weight 1 score first cross ewes gained 35¢ to 380¢, while medium weight lines were 48¢ dearer on 405¢/kg cwt
• Heavy weight 4 score first cross ewes lifted 2¢ to settle on 364¢/kg cwt
• Medium weight 3 score Merino wethers were 48¢ higher on 433¢/kg cwt

• The Eastern states restocker lamb indicator was 5¢ lower on 532¢/kg cwt
• Merino lambs lost 8¢ to 537¢/kg cwt
• Light lambs eased 5¢ to 541¢/kg cwt
• The Eastern States Trade Lamb Indicator (ESTLI) was 1¢ lower on 596¢/kg cwt
• The heavy lamb indicator slipped 2¢ to 599¢/kg cwt
• The mutton indicator was 5¢ higher on 379¢/kg cwt.
