Thursday daily sheep summary

Lamb supply at CTLX was lower with 2,800 head yarded and quality remains plain. Sheep supply lifted to 1,800 head and restockers were operating across the plain quality yarding.
- Trade weight 3 score young lambs to slaughter were cheaper to range in price from 470¢ to 560¢/kg cwt
- Light weight 2 score restocker Merino old lambs gained 29¢ to average 422¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight 3 score Merino old lambs eased to average 372¢/kg cwt
- Light weight 2 score restocker Merino ewes averaged 306¢, while heavy weight first cross 4 score lines eased 43¢ to settle on 252¢/kg cwt
- Light weight 2 score restocker Merino wethers lifted 34¢ to 397¢/kg cwt
Lamb and sheep supply remained similar at Hamilton with a total of 3,305 head supplied. The yarding was mostly of average quality with old lambs dominating.
- Light weight 2 score old lambs to slaughter were 12¢ cheaper on 519¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight 3 score old lambs to slaughter were 37¢ lower on 539¢/kg cwt
- Medium weight 2 score Merino ewes averaged 369¢, while heavy weight 4 score first cross ewes slipped 5¢ to average 310¢/kg cwt
- Medium weight 2 score Merino wethers gained 10¢ to settle on 384¢/kg cwt
At the conclusion of Wednesday’s markets:
- The eastern states restocker lamb indicator was 9¢ lower on 584¢/kg cwt
- Merino lambs eased 8¢ to 462¢/kg cwt
- Light lambs decreased 6¢ to 503¢wt
- The Eastern States Trade Lamb Indicator (ESTLI) slipped 10¢ to 529¢/kg cwt
- Heavy lambs were 8¢ lower on 526¢/kg cwt
- The mutton indicator lost 3¢ to 363¢/kg cwt
