NSW weekly sheep summary

Lambs
Lamb consignments throughout NSW remained similar, week-on-week, for a total of 112,595 head.
- Dubbo lifted by 20% for a total of 38,500 head.
- Tamworth decreased by 25% for 2,980 lambs.
- Forbes slipped by 6% and penned 29,129 head.
- CTLX lost 18% to total 2,800 lambs.
- Wagga eased 8% to yard 23,000 head.
- Corowa nearly doubled its numbers compared to last week and totalled 9,724 lambs, as Inverell continued its fortnightly market and yarded 3,062 head.
New season trade weight lambs trended $9 to $10 cheaper, making from $80 to $141/head, or an average price from 536¢ to 538¢/kg cwt.
Trade weight older lambs slipped $13 to $14, ranging from $78 to $130/head and attained an average price from 469¢ to 498¢/kg cwt.
The heavy weight lambs sold $13 to $14 cheaper, to sell from $115 to $155/head, or an average price from 502¢ to 513¢/kg cwt.
Mutton
Sheep numbers eased by 6% week-on-week for a total of 34,161head.
- Dubbo penned 8,200 sheep, as Tamworth offered 1,000 head.
- CTLX yarded 1,800 head, while Forbes penned 7,559 sheep.
- Wagga consigned 7,500 head, with Corowa offering 4,261 sheep, while Inverell penned 1,466 head.
Sheep averaged $7 cheaper, with the medium and heavy weights selling from $62 to $130/head, or an estimated average for the better finished end of 351¢ to 408¢/kg cwt.
