Friday daily sheep summary

Lamb consignments at Wagga decreased 4% week-on-week, to 22,000 head, with a full panel of buyers in attendance.
Sheep throughput was up 40%, to 7,000 head, with a fair proportion of the yarding recently shorn medium weight lines. All weights and grades were represented.
- New season light weight 3 score lambs fell 30¢ and averaged 552¢/kg cwt
- New season trade weight 3 score lambs declined 24¢ on 593¢/kg cwt
- New season heavy weight 3 score lambs slipped 27¢ on 592¢/kg cwt
- Old season light weight 2 score Merino lambs were back 74¢ and averaged 497¢/kg cwt
- Trade weight 3 score lambs were 23¢ lower on 579¢/kg cwt
- Heavy weight 3 score lambs eased 27¢ on 590¢/kg cwt
- Extra heavy 4 score lambs fell 23¢ and averaged 585¢/kg cwt.
- Medium weight 3 score Merino ewes declined 19¢ on 372¢/kg cwt
At the close of Thursday’s markets:
- The eastern states restocker lamb indicator lifted 17¢ on 549¢/kg cwt
- Merino lambs were back 8¢ on 529¢/kg cwt
- Light lambs eased 2¢ on 539¢/kg cwt
- Trade lambs declined 4¢ on 592¢/kg cwt
- Heavy lambs slipped 5¢ on 594¢/kg cwt
- The mutton indicator was 4¢ lower and finished on 375¢/kg cwt
