- The ‘Grilling Down Under’ episode, featuring Erica Halliday and the Ben Nevis team at Walcha, NSW, was awarded a gold Telly Award.
Producers of the popular US television show, A Taste of History, partnered with MLA to film two episodes featuring Australian beef and lamb. MLA connected the showrunners with two farming families – the Hallidays and the Leemings – as well as our own chef, Sam Burke, to show US audiences everything Australian red meat has to offer.
The stars of the episodes, Erica Halliday and Tim Leeming, are great advocates for Australian red meat production and passionate about telling our story. This passion shines through in episodes that dive into Australia’s culture and culinary scene, and also shine a light on the nation’s leading sustainable practices in raising livestock. Beyond the farm gate, Chef Sam Burke hosted the team in his own backyard to film an Aussie beef and lamb barbecue.
The ‘Grilling Down Under’ episode, which featured Erica Halliday and the Ben Nevis team in NSW, won a gold Telly Award. Not only did the episode showcase Australian red meat, it also demonstrated some of the regenerative techniques used by Australian producers to create a more sustainable future.
