More for you in myMLA

31 July 2024

The one-stop-shop for producers and industry stakeholders, myMLA, has recently received a suite of updates, allowing users to do even more with the platform.

Since myMLA’s relaunch in November 2023, users have grown to over 210 thousand and the dashboard has become MLA’s most popular webpage.

MLA Group Manager of Digital Communications Paul Hutton said the latest updates will make the site more user-friendly.

“We want to continuously make myMLA more useful, more helpful, and easier for everyone,” Paul said.

“We know that the people who use myMLA are busy and they need to find things as quickly as possible.”

Enriching events

Managing, finding and attending events have all been made easier following the new improvements.

Under the ‘Events’ tab in myMLA, the new interactive map feature allows users to find events closer to them, or anywhere in the country.

“This will make it easier for myMLA users to find events in their area, or gauge how far they need to travel for events further afield.”

Users can also now navigate to ‘My registered events’, where they can see the details of upcoming events they have registered for in one accessible spot, and manage their attendance with ease.

Smarter shopping

With the launch of the ‘Shop’ tab in myMLA, an MLA shopping spree has never been so easy.

Alongside paid resources and subscriptions, myMLA’s shop displays the many free tools, publications, and books that MLA has available.

Users can apply a range of filters to refine results by service and species.

The history of purchases that have been made can be viewed to in the new ‘Purchase history’ page, in the user’s profile section.

“This feature will be useful for people at tax time. You can search for dates and find invoices for everything you bought or events you attended.”

Better business information

Through the latest updates you can now submit information about your business to enhance what myMLA can do for you.

The opportunity to include business information in a user’s profile section will help to make each user’s myMLA experience even more tailored. The information provided will help determine user-specific suggestions for industry events, relevant research and development, and marketing resources.

The data will also be used to help MLA analysts to understand the make-up of current herds and flocks to provide accurate market insights back to industry.

“The latest updates are a step towards making myMLA even more accessible for our users, and we welcome feedback to help make it the best it can be.”
