MLA’s Annual General Meeting – your voting entitlements

18 July 2024

This year’s Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on 21 November 2024 and will be run as a hybrid event.

Voting entitlements are allocated based on the transactions that have occurred during the period 1 July 2023 – 30 June 2024. This information is notified to MLA by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry through the levy payer register.

To ensure we are able to allocate voting entitlements accurately, we must be able to match members to information we receive from the Levy Payer Register. If you have not previously done so, please advise MLA of the ABN you use on your levy return form to DAFF by 31 July 2024.

If an MLA member is unable to match to the Levy Payer Register, they will receive one vote at the AGM.

How to inform MLA of your ABN

Option One

1) Please click the survey button and provide your ABN details. You will also need to supply your MLA member number. If you cannot remember your member number in question one, please enter your original account name so that we can find you on the MLA member database.

Option Two

2) Sign into mymla.com.au and click on your profile name

     > Select ‘MLA membership’ in the dropdown.

If you don’t have an ABN, please ensure your contact information is updated to be consistent with your levy return form.

Later this year, AGM packs will be sent out in the mail. This pack will contain further details on the AGM and the voting process.
