Goatmeat producers are invited to attend the fourth annual Collie Goat Production Field Day being held on Friday 12 April, by NSW goat producers, Jo and Craig Stewart, on farm at ‘Buena Vista’, Collie.
Supported by MLA and other sponsors, the field day is a popular event, with this year’s program including a showcase of the goat industry’s research and development activities, as well as examples of producers applying this research and other technologies to boost their businesses.
The event will also feature timely updates from advisors as well as interesting demonstrations on using goatmeat, from carcase to creating gourmet meals.
“The day before the field day, a facilitated discussion forum will be held, providing an opportunity for goat producers to provide feedback to industry. I will then present those recommendations to the Goat Industry Research, Development and Adoption Committee (GIRDAC),” Craig said.
