Catch up on Goat Essentials webinars

Goat producers on small landholdings or anyone looking at buying goats are the focus of two new webinars delivered by the Victorian Farmer Federation’s (VFF) Stock Sense team.

Part 1 of the Stock Sense Goat Essentials Webinar addresses a range of topics including traceability, the do’s and don’ts of goat care, and what to look for when buying a goat.

Presented by Dr Berwyn Squire of Agriculture Victoria, the webinar also looks at feet, teeth and horn management.

Part 2 includes parasite management, vaccinations and the importance of a vet/client relationship and was presented by Dr Sandra Baxendell, owner of Goat Vet Oz.

VFF Stock Sense is a project funded by the Cattle Compensation Fund and the Sheep and Goat Compensation Fund and delivered by the VFF Livestock Group.

Stock Sense has a mission to help Victorian livestock producers adopt animal health and production practices that maintain and improve animal health, welfare and Victoria’s biosecurity status.
