The Holbrook Landcare Network invites you to attend a pastures update and field walk at Hills Park, Yerong Creek, as a part of the MLA-funded Producer Demonstration Site (PDS) Testing Tropicals – NSW Southern Slopes project.

The project aims to demonstrate the benefits of tropical and sub-tropical pasture species in production systems of the southern slopes of NSW, to fill summer feed gaps and determine what management adaptations need to be made to successfully incorporate these species into southern grazing systems.

On the day, John Francis from Agrista, will discuss the value of sub-tropical pastures to a production system, management to achieve high growth rates and the addition of sub-clover to support production.

Attendees will also hear from landholders Steven Scott & Neal Terlick of Scotts Angus and Andrew Hunter of Hills Park on their experience regarding establishing sub-tropical pastures, how to add clover, what to prevent in establishment to ensure success and more!
