Pilot carbon accounting virtual workshop | Northern Territory

Location: Online
Cost: Free
MLA and Integrity Ag and Environment are holding a pilot carbon accounting workshop for Northern Territory beef producers.
Producers who attend this group will be assisted in generating a carbon account for their beef cattle operation. Calculating baseline carbon emissions and stored carbon is an essential first step for producers wanting to consider low or zero carbon branding and sustainable productivity improvements.
The workshop is being run as a webinar over two sessions:
- a 1:1 pre-workshop video conference (45 mins to 1 hour) prior to the workshop between each producer participant and the workshop facilitator Steve Wiedemann of Integrity Ag and Environment.
- a group information session webinar (3.5 hours) from 9 am on 16 April.
Calculating baseline carbon emissions and stored carbon is an essential first step for producers wanting to consider low or zero carbon branding and sustainable productivity improvements.
The pilot workshop is being used to inform design of a carbon accounting training package for the industry to be released later in the year.
