Optimising ewe lamb joining outcomes - Producer Demonstration Site field day

The MLA Producer Demonstration Site (PDS) project – Optimising Ewe Lamb Joining Outcomes – is now in its third year! The project aims to demonstrate the decision-making process and additional management skills required to successfully join ewe lambs. The project is being run over four years from February 2023 to December 2026.

The host properties are capturing individual reproductive data including joining, pregnancy scanning, lamb marking and weaning data that includes body weights, lambed and lost results and for the Merino participants a fleece weight and micron test.

The project has completed its second full year of data collection with two of the host properties located in West Wyalong and Harden.

The third project field day will be held at our Jugiong host property - Dean Bourlet (Kambah Merinos).
