Optimising Ewe Lamb Joining Outcomes - Producer Demonstration Site Field Day

The ‘Optimising Ewe Lamb Joining Outcomes’ PDS aims to guide producers through the design of a property-specific plan using existing tools and management strategies to assist producers to identify when it is most suitable to join ewe lambs, and the management practices required.

The Field day will incorporate discussions from the host site producers as well as other guest speakers on a range of topics, including:

- Project outcomes to date

- Setting growth rate targets to successfully join ewe lambs in relation to your standard reference weight.

- Does condition score matter when joining ewe lambs? What are the requirements to get ewes prepared for the next joining?

- The art of wet and dry udder assessments.

- Key ram selection traits and tracking your ram team in preparation to target this ram sale season.

- Using eID to capture the data you need to make more informed decisions.
