Briefing: DEXA technology in the red meat industry, Brisbane

Location: McGuires Colmslie Hotel, cnr Wynnum and Junction Roads, Morningside Queensland

A briefing for industry members about MLA’s work with industry, research institutes and technology providers to develop the application of DEXA (Dual Energy X-Ray Absorptiometry) as an objective measurement tool to measure carcase composition. 

A panel of speakers will discuss the technology and MLA’s plan to enable industry to accelerate its adoption in Australian processing plants and increase the accessibility of the resulting data across the value chain. 

The meeting will include a light lunch and question and answer session.

Panellists include:

MLA’s Managing Director Richard Norton and General Manager - Research, Development and Innovation Sean Starling, Professor David Pethick from Murdoch University, Teys Australia Manager Industry and Corporate Affairs Dr John Langbridge, and Cattle Council of Australia board member David Hill.

Who should attend:

The meeting is open to producers, processors and other members of the value chain who have an interest in DEXA technology and MLA’s plan.
