New licensed provider and new features for eNVD

LPA-accredited producers can access free electronic NVDs (eNVDs) through the LPA Service Centre or use eNVDs supplied by licensed software providers. The latter typically have enhanced features which may meet other business needs of users.  

Protrace Solutions is the latest software provider licensed by the Integrity Systems Company to retrieve and integrate eNVD data within their software. The Protrace system services businesses within the processing and feedlotting sectors, assisting them to automate their data entry and reduce human error in relation to incoming and outgoing consignments.

A full list of eNVD licensed software providers is provided on the LPA website. A number of other software providers are in the process of developing eNVD capabilities within their agricultural software.

The eNVD system also has a number of recent enhancements, including an easier PIC search function, ability to copy and re-use previous declarations and the ability to upload a digital signature. If the receiver of the livestock is not ready to accept declarations electronically, producers will be reminded by the website to print and sign a copy of the NVD/Waybill to pass to the receiver of the livestock. As the eNVD is a legal document, for it to be valid it must be signed. 

The eNVD system offers producers the ability to create other declarations alongside the NVD including:

  • Meat Standards Australia (MSA) Declaration
  • National Health Declarations (Sheep & Goat)
  • National Feedlot Accrediation Scheme (NFAS) Declarations

Integrity Systems Company continues to work closely with producers and industry partners on potential improvements to the eNVD to make the system more user friendly, accessible and adaptable to business needs.   

Since the launch of the electronic National Vendor Declaration (eNVD) system last August, there has been a steady increase in its usage with more than 25,000 individual eNVDs created by producers. In May 2018, 11% of all National Vendor Declarations were submitted through the eNVD system.

Using the eNVD system ensures producers are providing information that meets the latest market requirements. It means transfer of information along the value chain is simpler, quicker and more accurate.
