Pasture Paramedic

Pasture Paramedic is a decision-making tool that allows rapid assessment of pasture condition in the medium to high rainfall zones of southern Australia, northern NSW and the WA wheatbelt.

The tool is used in the paddock to measure the quality and quantity of available pastures and identify requirements for pasture renovation or rejuvenation. The resources associated with the tool provide useful images and notes to identify and assess common pastures, clovers and weeds.

To obtain the tool, you will need to undertake training. To contact a training deliverer in northern NSW, the WA wheatbelt or in the medium to high rainfall zones of southern Australia, contact MLA Project Manager, Andrew Morelli at amorelli@mla.com.au.

Pasture Paramedic is a partnership between Meat & Livestock Australia and Southern Farming Systems.

The following video explains how the decision-making tool known as 'Pasture Paramedic' helps producers to assess the condition of their pastures in the medium to high rainfall zones of southern Australia. The tool is also available for northern NSW and the WA wheatbelt.
