Our sustainability story
How our red meat industry’s guardianship of land, livestock and communities makes us part of the climate solution
MLA’s special edition of Feedback magazine delved into our industry’s sustainability journey to 2022 and answered questions about how red meat producers can take climate action on-farm.
The purpose of the MLA Sustainability Update (2021) was to capture in one place the significant level of MLA’s investments in sustainability across the red meat supply chain as aligned to industry’s priority areas to 2021. This update captured industry’s rigorous and significant compliance requirements as required by relevant federal and state government legislation and regulations and our alignment to critical international benchmarks and best practice.
