Time off water and spelling periods
The tables below indicate the maximum time different classes of livestock can be off water – including time spent mustering and holding before loading, travelling and rest stops, and unloading until water is provided.
Advice from transporters is to yard livestock before transport, but ensure open access to good, dry feed and clean, cool drinking water.
