At MLA, our recruitment process ensures we find the right person for the right role at the right time through a fair, equitable and transparent recruitment process.

Shortlist

Applications are shortlisted once the application period has closed. At times, this may be conducted prior to the closing date.

Interviews

Our People and Values team will contact you if you have been shortlisted. Your first interview will be conducted with the leader and possibly another team member or People and Values. If you are the preferred candidate, we will invite you back in for a second interview with the senior leader.

Employment assessment and reference checks

Depending on the role, you may be asked to undertake an employment assessment to provide us with additional objective information. This may include skills testing, background check and psychometric or functional capacity assessments, A minimum of two reference checks will also be conducted following your interviews with your consent.

Offer

Once we’ve decided that you’re the best person for the role, People and Values will contact you.

Unsuccessful?

Our People and Values team will contact you if you have been unsuccessful. This will be by email at shortlist stage and phone call following an interview.
